Fly Fishing​

We have two Fly fishing lakes onsite, just 200 meters from Glenmore House. They are well stocked with hard fighting fully fined Rainbow & Brown Trout, fly rods can be booked for hire at Glenmore.

Take the Boat to Rathlin Island from Ballycastle Harbour which is less than 3 miles away. See the Puffins on their breeding ground as well as lots of seals – perfect photo opportunity!

The world-famous Giants Causeway is only eight miles away along the beautiful Causeway Coast.

There are three Golf courses close by, Ballycastle (3 miles), Grace Hill Golf Course (8 miles) and after a picturesque drive along the famous Causeway Coast you’ll find Royal Portrush (13 miles) where the Open took place in 2019.

Horse riding is well within reach of Glenmore with Water Top Farm (8 miles away) and Sheans Horse Farm (10 miles) – both have fantastic horse-riding facilities available.

The Ulster Way walk trail is just 50 meters from Glenmore. The walk to the Carrick-a-rede Rope bridge starts just two miles away from us where you can walk back along the lower cliff path.

There’s no shortage of castles around these parts. Kinbane Castle is just over 1 mile from Glenmore and the tranquillity of this place is amazing. Meanwhile the Dunluce Medieval Castle and the McDonnell Clan strong hold is only 12 miles away.

The Bushmills Distillery is only 10 miles away and if you’re a Whiskey lover, this is the perfect place for you. Take the whiskey tour and learn how they make that famous smooth- tasting Bushmills Irish Whiskey.

The Dark Hedges (8 miles away) where scenes from Game of Thrones is regularly filmed and also worth visiting is Ballintoy Harbour where many scenes from that famous show are also used it is only three miles away.

Glenariff, known as the Queen of the Glens, shaped in the ice age with its amazing waterfalls is always worth a visit, especially on a sunny day!

White park Bay is a surfers Paradise, alternatively you can just relax and enjoy the short stroll along the bay to Ballintoy Harbour.

Ballintoy Harbour is only three miles away, this is definitely worth a visit home of the Elephant Rock and lots of the scenes from Game of Thrones, you can walk to the Giants Causeway from here.
